What is good leadership, does it exist?

I have been grappling with the notion of leadership in last few weeks. Good leadership in particular if I should elaborate. Is there such a thing as good leadership? What we know is that people from all walks of life are deemed as leaders. Leaders of households, organizations, government, political factions, sports teams and communities in general. The issue is, anyone can lead, but is that leadership good. By good I mean, is the leadership utilitarian in nature? Does it advocate for a better good for all? Is it pragmatic? Does it deliver people to the supposed Promised Land? I am not promoting Christianity as the pinnacle of leadership morale, but like Moses and his quest and mission to liberate ‘His’ people from slavery and lead them to the promised land, I find it ironic that he himself never saw ‘paradise’. Leaders today want to design the Promised Land to their suiting, go and bask in it first and then they rally their friends (at a fee most definitely, eg: political votes) to come and experience the fruits of “good leadership”. Again I ask, what is good leadership? Does it exist. And if it does, will they deliver us to the promised land before or after they have basked in it.
